US M42 Paratrooper Uniform with rigger added sleeve and skirt pockets.
New version of the M42 Paratrooper Uniform, same lightweight fabric with two sleeve pockets, two rear skirt pockets, chest pockets with slit openings for hanging grenades, etc., softer cotton leg ties, in OD green and adjusted collar. US Paratroopers were required to have one of the two sets of M42 uniform reinforced, or
'modified'. Canvas patches were added to knees and elbows, and to pockets. In addition, some paratroopers had additional chest pockets added to sleeves and rear jacket skirt to enable the Paratrooper to carry more small items of gear.
